Article (25) Paragraph 15 of The Sector Law identifies the Authority as the competent body to issue regulations for the electricity and related water sector.

The Technical Directorate has been working to monitor the Compliance of the sector companies to the existing regulations, the industry codes, and the OES. The directorate has been addressing all the technical matters that arise in the sector in coordination with the sector companies and is working to develop technical regulations to address various needs. For example, the Authority expects the issue metering regulation in the near future.
