Article (109) Notice
The Authority for Electricity Regulation, Oman (the “Authority”) has proposed modifications to Schedule 2 (Charge Restriction Conditions) of the Transmission and Dispatch Licence (the “Licence”) granted to Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC (the “Licensee”).
Modification of the Licence is required to facilitate implementation of new three year price controls (effective from 1 January 2013) for the Licensee.
The new price controls provide operating and capital expenditure allowances for the new price control period (2013 to 2015) and support the further development of the Main Interconnected System (where around 3000MW is expected to come online during 2013 and 2014) and (in anticipation of the proposed restructuring of the Salalah Concession Agreement) changes to the Licensee’s role in Salalah.
The modified Licence is available on the Public Register in the Authority’s offices.
Any Person with an objection to the proposed modification is invited to submit details of their objection to the Authority within 28 days from the date of publication of this Notice. Any objection submitted after the period stipulated in this Notice will not be considered. Objections shall be submitted to the following address:- Director of Economic and Financial Affairs

Modification of the Licence is required to facilitate implementation of new three year price controls (effective from 1 January 2013) for the Licensee.
